I would recommend MGA Garage Services for any work. They did my service and MOT, and were very honest about the work needed and the costs to do it. There was a delay in collecting the car, but this was because of work done by a different garage - MGA wanted to do a proper job! Big shout out to the receptionist too, she is lovely, friendly, and very helpful. I will definitely return in future for any work needed!

★★☆☆☆ I used MGA for repairs on my BMW and, while some aspects of the service were acceptable for the price, I was ultimately very disappointed with the outcome and how a problem was handled. The main issue was the paintwork on the driver’s side skirt. The colour match was significantly different from the OEM finish on the opposite side of the vehicle. The original BMW paint was a much darker navy blue with metallic sparkle, whereas the repaired side was a noticeably brighter, glossier blue. The difference was obvious when comparing both sides of the car. To make matters worse, only the visible upper section of the skirt was painted, meaning that if you bent down and looked underneath, you could clearly see the difference between the newly painted area and the original finish. When I raised the issue, I was told that it was my fault because I had not specifically asked for the repaired side to be paint matched to the opposite side of the vehicle. I found this extremely frustrating, as I would have assumed that matching the existing colour is a basic expectation when carrying out paintwork on a car. Only after I challenged this explanation was I told that they did not have the correct paint available and would have needed to order it separately. After further discussion, they reduced the bill by £50 (the amount charged for the skirt), but there was no offer to properly rectify the issue or any acknowledgement that a visibly mismatched panel could affect the appearance and future saleability of the vehicle. I was also told that “nobody will notice the colour difference”, despite it being obvious when compared side-by-side with the original paintwork. Overall, the work was not terrible, but the handling of the paint mismatch and the refusal to take responsibility for the mistake left me very disappointed. Based on my experience, I would be cautious about using MGA for any work where colour matching is important.

Took my 2011 Honda Civic in today for a full service and MOT. Repairs were explained and communicated well with competitive prices, carrying out honest, trustworthy and reliable work. Absolute hidden gem and will definitely use these guys again!

I’ve been coming to this garage for almost two years now, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! As a woman, garages can sometimes feel quite intimidating, but everyone here is genuinely friendly, welcoming, and professional. They never make me feel silly or uncomfortable, and they’re always happy to explain things clearly. They’re also fantastic when it comes to timing and customer service. There have been occasions when I’ve called at the last minute with an issue, and they’ve managed to fit me in the same day and get the problem sorted there and then. I highly recommend this garage to anyone looking for reliable, honest, and efficient service. In fact, after my recommendation, my brother now uses them too! My MOT experience was great. I needed a few things rectified before a pass was issued, to which I was pointed in most efficient and budget friendly direction to achieve this. I even rang up 10 working days later for my retest, and they managed to get me in the same day and get the repairs completed. The mechanics were knowledgeable and efficient, and the woman behind the computer was wonderful, doing everything possible to make the experience as stress free as possible. 👍🏼🙏

Just had the timing chain replaced on my Mini Cooper S and couldn’t be happier with the service. The pricing was great—very competitive compared to other quotes I received. The team was incredibly informative, explaining the process clearly and keeping me updated throughout. Most importantly, the car now runs perfectly. It’s a relief to find a garage that knows these engines inside out and delivers top-quality work at a fair price. Highly recommend!
