Halfords Autocentre Ipswich

Disappointing experience with last visit. After having the tyres replaced, the car was returned with them noticeably overinflated. I also spent a long time trying to understand why the garage could not fit brake parts purchased from Halfords’ own retail business. The explanations were confusing and did not make much practical sense. What stood out most was being told, in the middle of all this confusion, that I should “trust people more”. Trust comes from competent work, clear explanations and professional handling of a customer’s car. This experience did not give me much reason to have that trust

First time using Ipswich Halfords’s for MOT & Service. I normally get my car done in Bury but there was no slots. Martin was lovely, funny and very welcoming. He kept me up to date with everything and explained things well and gave me maintenance advice. Thank you Martin & Zachary the technician.

Do not go here! I got 2 new wheels and 2 wheel alignment all 4 wheels balanced and they messed up my wheels. Clamp marks from the balance then used wired brush to try clean the surface for adheresion of wheel weights. Not the correct processes at all, really terrible customer service as well just drop the car off and ring when they are done and they don't even ring. You have to chase them when they are done. Martin the manager tried to hell which is good and understood that they were at fault and tried to rectify it but end of the day the damage is done and will cost about £500 to get these rims fixed and repainted at a shop. Send £50 back as a gesture of good faith but will not cover the costs of getting the wheels fixed up.... Man that'd awful. Contacted halford complaints and they are useless.

Served by Martin today, my first experience with Halfords MOT, previous history with various other MOT places has not been pleasant, but he made me feel so welcome! And was friendly and knowledgable. I’ll definitely be back.

Martin was amazing! So kind and helpful. I had an awful experience at the previous garage which I explained to Martin and he done all he can to help me and put my mind at ease.

Had an MOT elsewhere and they sent me away with a failed certificate. Went to Halfords, asked for help and could not be any happier. Martin had the best customer service and kept me informed throughout. He really went out of his way to make sure I was okay. The service was fast and fitted me in almost immediately. I could not recommend this place any higher and will definitely be back. Thank you to the whole team

I went to the Halfords on Commercial Road in Ipswich and received some amazing customer service. Max, one of the staff there, was very helpful. I’m definitely going back to them when the need arises.
