Elite Garages Brighton holds a 4.6 rating from 626 Google reviews. Positive reviews describe the team successfully diagnosing tricky faults, such as brake noise, and completing urgent work to schedule. A recurring concern among several reviewers, however, involves disputes over charges for diagnostic work that wasn't completed and, in one case, alleged damage to alloy wheels during tyre fitting, so it may be worth clarifying costs and inspecting wheels before and after a visit.

4.6 / 5 · 626 totalVery happy with Elite Garage’s work on my Peugeot 308. I needed some urgent work done on it before driving to France, and they not only finished on time but also managed to find a solution for an annoying sound that turned out to be related to the brakes — something another garage couldn’t figure out. I’m very happy with their service and the quality of the work delivered. I will certainly use them again.
Terrible experience with this garage! The task was to replace the rear brake pads. They wanted £120 for 1 hour of work (the brake pads were mine). They didn’t do the job because they said they had found a problem with the brake calipers and wanted another £487 to fix it. Of course, I refused. They then said I had to pay £80 for work that was not done. I sent them an email. In their reply, they reduced the amount to £57, but they did not answer on what legal basis they are demanding payment for work that was not done. These guys are going to court. Otherwise, tomorrow they could be demanding £1,000 for work that was never done. They have found a good way to make money! I recommend everyone stay away from this garage!
Apologies for the long review, don’t read it if you’re happy with poor service, being deceived, having your property damaged and paying for it. If you would prefer to avoid this……keep reading. So I had to give these clowns one star as there isn’t a zero or minus option! The lowest default rating. I took my car in to them for a new tyre, I’ve not had the car long and when we took delivery we had all the wheels reconditioned, so I know they were in perfect condition. We are incredibly careful with them and my wife also took pictures prior to them having it which they were sent to them as well as the attached. It’s not about the money, it’s the principle. The fact that they deliberately concealed the damage with grease so I wouldn’t notice until I had left simply tells you that they are a lot more practiced at this than they are at changing tyres. I took only a few minutes to read other reviews and it seems they have done this many times. So far I have spoken to a few other tyre companies locally and they were not surprised, one even guessed who it was I was talking about. Says it all really!! So the company the booking was made through, Blackcircles, took over a week to come back after getting an ‘expert’ to check the pictures (at no point did they think to suggest seeing it or for me to take it somewhere to be looked at) and his evaluation was; “For transparency, I have included a summary of our technical assessment below. The white, textured, and abrasive appearance visible on the edge of the alloy is characteristic of the diamond-cut clear coat being scraped against a rough surface, such as concrete or stone. The pattern of the damage is consistent with a glancing lateral impact, such as contact with a kerb or the edge of a pothole. This type of impact typically removes the upper layer of the alloy, resulting in the feathered abrasion visible in the photographs. The damage does not display the sharper indentations or uniform arc-shaped scratches that would normally be associated with tyre fitting equipment or a mounting head failure.” Funnily enough, everyone I have spoken to including the person who reconditioned the wheels initially for us, all disagreed and suggested the damage was almost certainly done when with them. I know 100% it was. It wasn’t there when I left it with them. The sad thing is, it would have cost very little to put right and I hadn’t even asked for money, just the acceptance that I would not raise the issue without feeling I had good cause. I will get it repaired myself, but it seems to much too ask for a so called ‘family run business’ to show a little integrity. If they are so desperate to save a few ££’s then good luck to them, they clearly value dishonesty over customer service.
Amazing fast service , needed my air con gas refilled as it was empty and with this heatwave it is a must. Elite fitted me in so quickly and the car was back within an hour. Fab service would highly recommend.
Found a nail in the side wall after a flat tyre. Saw this place was local to my office so I went online and booked an appointment for a new tyre of which they had a good selection. When I arrived there was plenty of space to park and I was seen to straight away. My car was treated with care and everything was put back in the car where it should be. I didn’t speak to the tyre fitter direct but Nathan on the front desk was very friendly and professional. I’d highly recommend them for great service.
A friend recommended this garage and I'm glad the did. Friendly garage and good service, Gary in the office was great. They managed to fix my car the same day and communicated everything really well. Would recommend 👍🏻
Brilliant service from Gary and the team at Elite Garages. I called after getting a completely flat tyre and Gary told me to bring the car in to have a look. He quickly found a nail in the tyre, explained a new tyre was needed, and advised me not to drive on it. He managed to get the tyre ordered in quickly, topped up our coolant and washer fluid for free, and fitted the new tyre quickly and smoothly at a very fair price. Great experience overall — sound guy and excellent customer service. Would 100% recommend.
