Doctor Hood - Mobile Mechanic

He has had several companies dissolved I am now taking this to court unfortunately. I hope to make others aware of this cowboy. I was quoted £100–£150 for a turbo/intercooler pipe replacement and was charged £150. The mechanic confirmed the new part could not be fitted, but instead of stopping, taped the original pipe and refitted it. I was then told the vehicle was “fixed” and charged the full amount at the top end of the quote. When I drove the car afterwards, the fault remained exactly the same and the vehicle was actually worse, developing a loud whistling noise. During the visit, the mechanic became visibly frustrated and raised his voice, which made the situation uncomfortable. Despite raising these issues, the mechanic refused to offer a refund or return to fix the problem.

This guy is spot on, I was left stranded for almost 11 hours by the RAC 240 miles from home, I eventually gave up and after a google search came across this guy he put my mind at rest straight away and said he would pick me up from my hotel, he picked me up went for the part ( alternator belt ) and him and his colleague had me up and running in an hour from start to finish, top class service from a top class guy that knows his stuff, very hard working guys and transparent with price, Great service…. Absolutely top service from Doctor Hood Mobile Mechanic. I had an issue with my car and called Vero and he arrived within 15 minutes. Diagnosed the problem straight away and fixed it instantly. Very professional, honest, and efficient. Highly recommend if you need a reliable mobile mechanic.

I damaged the fuel filter pipe work whilst changing the alternator on my car. I called Doctor Hood because changing the pipe work which ran most of the way to the fuel tank as a continuous pipe was not something I was willing to do myself. The pipe would have been very expensive from the main dealer but Vero was able to source a part at a much more reasonable price. He was able to replace the pipework, re-install the auxiliary belt (which I was having a lot of difficulty with) and get the car up and running again all on my driveway. I’ve been driving the car since and couldn’t be happier with the work done. The price charged was very reasonable and well worth it. I can highly recommend doctor hood and would definitely trust them to work on my car again in the future.

I called him and in 30 minutes he was in front of my house. Within 1 hour he got my car fixed. Excellent service, great price and very friendly. Highly recommend 😁
